Experiment your way through the history of some of the many great women in STEM.

From Ancient Alexandria, to modern day, you will travel in the shoes of innovative women who have shaped the world we live in.

Medieval Snail’s new game, From Which We STEM is a one stop inspiration shop.

With Easter Eggs about their lives and stories, both auditory and visual throughout, From Which We STEM is a celebration of women asking the question “What if?”

This game features a range of audio inspired by the women and their stories. Three of the five tracks are original and for this game. One of the non-original pieces, Ada's theme, is a reference to the young composer she took under her wing, and one of his finest compositions. Hedy's theme reflects her hectic life, the darkness within the fame and the way she felt like everyone was always calling her name.

We hope this game inspires you to push boundaries and look at life with curiosity and enthusiasm, just like these women.

This game is family friendly in content.

With limited instructions, your job is to experiment to follow in the footsteps of these great women.

  1. Hypatia of Alexandria in the famous library of Alexandria, observing the stars and starting our journey
  2. Ada Lovelace, navigating the world of logic gates
  3. Dr. Grace Hopper, looking for the first ever computer ‘bug’
  4. Hedy Lamarr, searching for her most famous breakthrough
  5. Dr. Mae Jemison, using determination to find her way to the Endeavour

Each woman another bound forward in scientific history.

Keep an eye out for updates as there is a VERY long list of incredible women and their mini-games left to add. Every day little ones are taking their first steps into the world of ‘What if’, who knows who may be next in this chain of impressive individuals.
